Fortune Global 500: BYD COMPANY Enters Top 100 for 1st Time; JD-SW Moves Up to 44th

The Fortune Global 500 list was announced, with a total of 10 Chinese auto and auto parts companies entering the list this year. Chery's revenue increased from US$39.1 billion in 2024 to US$59.7 billion, elevating its rank by 152 places to 233rd. BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) significantly improved its rank by 52 places to 91st, becoming the top 100 for the first time.

Among the 124 Chinese (including Hong Kong) companies, excluding four new and re-listed companies and three with unchanged positions, 49 companies moved up, while 68 dropped.

Of which, five Chinese internet giants, naming JD-SW (09618.HK), BABA-W (09988.HK), TENCENT (00700.HK), PDD Holdings (PDD.US) and MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), continued to grow in a competitive landscape, with all ranking up. JD-SW moved up three spots from 2024 to 44th place, remaining the highest-ranking private Chinese firm.
